THE LAND TRUSTS ASSOCIATION exists to encourage the formation, where appropriate, of an alternative form of land ownership.
LAND TRUSTS are:
- charitable
- for long term benefit
- primarily for rural communities
- for preservation of land and buildings
- owned and managed by trustees
THE ASSOCIATION
- promotes the concept of charitable land trusts
- distributes information and literature to members on legal, fiscal and managerial aspects of land trusts
- membership consists of landowners, trustees and advisers, both individuals and firms, from all professions interested in this specialist subject
- produces technical material and case studies which are circulated in a series of Occasional Papers
